Books and the Like
We’re fixing to start the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman. We have a tortie cousin named Donut, so we’re pretty sure the stories are about her and are really interested to hear about her adventures. We aren’t sure who this Carl guy is, but guess he’s a servant of hers we haven’t met. We’ll update on our thoughts.

OMFG! We finished the series to date, and it’s FIRE! Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk is a baddie, and her faithful manservant is pretty okay too! The series is, legit, so good and even my cranky roommate, Charley, was into it.
The writing is super funny, super gross, pretty dark, with lots of action. NGL, it gets pretty sad at times, but those bits make the story stick with you. If you like The Hunger Games, Dungeons and Dragons, Monty Python, and horribly out of pocket humor, these books are for you. Put the kittens to bed BEFORE you read; these aren’t happy, fuzzy bedtime stories.
ALSO, if it’s your thing, check the series out on audiobook; Jeff Hays narrates, and his voice acting is the absolute shit.
